Alisa Best is an Associate at Midgett Preti Olansen. Prior to joining Midgett Preti Olansen, Ms. Best was a summer intern and law clerk for a solo Business and Estate Planning Attorney where she worked closely with the attorney on various business formation, estate planning, real estate and trademark matters.
Ms. Best is a Hampton Roads native and graduated from Liberty University with her Bachelors of Science in Law & Policy: Pre-Law with a minor in Psychology. She went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Liberty University School of Law where she focused on taking advantage of the many Business, Estate Planning, and Tax classes offered. During her time at Liberty University School of Law, she served as the Secretary of the Business & Transactional Law Society and served the Lynchburg community as a Certified IRS Tax Preparer as a part of the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program. She was the Events Committee Chair for the Black Law Students Association. She is admitted to practice law in North Carolina. She is now pursuing her Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Taxation from Boston University School of Law.
